Program:
Yes, there is a program.
Quality emerging and contemporary art from local, national and international producers of culture.
History:
Telephonebooth is a gallery and project space started in the hallway of a warehouse at 2009 Baltimore in November 1995.
At that time a gallery scene was emerging from the art scene and the gallery scene wasn't keeping up with the surplus of good art.
Soon the gallery scene was overtaken by the condo scene and the gallery scene got schooled.
(All the developers got tax credits and all the galleries got to pay for the privilege of being there first.)
Telephonebooth moved briefly to the semi-condo scene at 18th and Wyandotte in 2000 and at that location had a number of outstanding shows while also developing the micro flat project entitled "Hong Kong Apartment".
Shortly thereafter Telephonebooth escaped semi-condo scene and relocated to 3319 Troost in 2002.
